Fullstack Job: Full Stack Engineer

The Investment Advice value stream works at the very heart of Credit Suisse International Wealth Management.
We are responsible for the development and maintenance of the key advisory systems in the bank, which are in use on a global scale within the CS Group.

We manage a complex application landscape including professional investment portfolio construction tools and mobile applications used during client meetings. We also leverage modern portfolio optimization techniques to automate parts of the investment advice and offer a rich set of analyses to evaluate the investments of our clients.

The relationship managers guide the clients through an advisory process with the help of our applications,
enabling our client advisors to understand the clients’ goals, define an appropriate investment strategy,
monitor the impact and performance of the investments and comply with all the regulatory requirements.

We are involved in multiple projects which run in parallel, we continuously extend the functionality of our applications to meet the latest business needs, we are rolling out our applications to further international locations, we are maintaining the existing applications and we are working on a platform renewal project to modernize the application landscape

You will be:

• Working closely with our business colleagues as well as other disciplines (requirement engineers, testers, etc.) to elaborate technical solutions out of the requirements
• Implementing high quality, reusable and well tested software solutions (backend and frontend)
• Building new functionality and extend the existing applications
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Writing high quality technical documentation
• Supporting other team members

The department (value stream) has more than 150 employees and encompasses several delivery teams (located in Zurich, Poland, India). Each team is independent and consists of 7 to 10 team members of different roles (requirement engineering, development, testing, scrum master, tech lead). The delivery teams are supported by a delivery management team, a DevOps team and Production Support team. This open role is for one of our onsite delivery team in Zurich.

• Hard/Technical skills reqauired
• Strong Java development skills (4+ years) in an enterprise context
• Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming patterns and principles
• Knowledge of databases and SQL, preferably Oracle
• Experience with SOAP services and REST APIs, messaging is a plus
• Experience in modern development environment (test-driven development, continuous integration, source code control with git)
• Excellent abstract and analytical thinking plus problem solving skills
• A self-starter, being able to take ownership of tasks on short-notice and work under pressure
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills
• Fluency in English (spoken and written)
